It is now obvious to anyone who seriously studies the issue that our fossil fuel usage is unlikely to cause catastrophe as predicted by many such as Al Gore or the IPCC. So why do governments and scientific bodies the world over continue to exhort us to reduce our carbon emissions? Why do they subsidise building of electric cars, windmills and biofuel programmes? Why are they introducing carbon taxes?

The purpose of this blog is to explore the issue. I am preparing a presentation to explain the basis of the consensus view that the world is catastrophically warming as a result of our fossil fuel use and why it is flawed. I will examine the motivations of some of those who campaign for the consensus.

I welcome any questions on the topic to enhance my presentation which will be posted here and on Youtube.
